A elegant costume drama set in 17th Century France about a young, beautiful
nobleman, Antoine, and Juuru, the handsome artist who loves him. Antoine seems tormented by the fact, while also having to deal with the affections of a younger man (his cousin, I think). I'm not clear on the storyline because I just tend to get too distracted by the art, which is simply beautiful as you can see from the images below. There is also a second story about a beautiful, spoiled lord and his attendant.
Azumi-sensei's love scenes are tasteful and steamy, but there's a tenderness too that comes from the young nobleman's 'wanting but not wanting to want' the artist's affections. She also spends considerable effort on costumes and background- impressive!
