Pink

Following the end of her popular Sakende Yaruze! series, Takaguchi began a new yaoi series, much to the delight of her fans. Since she's an incredibly prolific mangaka with many titles under her belt, only a few of which are yaoi, of course we're anxious for anything new!
Pink is the story of a young high school student named Usagi who is trying to become an adult porno artist. Who would've figured that out of a such a cute, innocent blond boy? Guiding him is Benio, the original artist of the story that Usagi is working on. Benio at first seems to just want to teach, but then finds himself getting a little too interested in teaching Usagi how to get into that, er, certain frame of mind for drawing adult porn.
Now enter in Usagi's father, an attractive, sexy man who is more than a little interested in Benio, and makes no move to hide it both from Benio and his own son. And who could resist that? Who would want to? Mmm, he's a sexy one. (^_^)
As always, I love Takaguchi's art style! Her characters are attractive and in proportion without being overdone, so the line style is simple and clean and highly recognizable. Her comical stories are witty and full of sight gags, so that even if you're not very good at reading Japanese you can still follow along well enough.
However, some fans were disappointed with how quickly this funny series ended with only three volumes. But there is hope remaining that Takaguchi, understandably busy with her other works, will restart the series and end it with a more satisactory sequel! But if that doesn't happen, we can still look forward to Yononaka wa Bokura ni Amai, her newest project!
