The story is of two men who investigate crimes for private clients. Youichi and Mari look as different as night and day, with Mari being the darker of the two in both coloring and mood it seems. Mari's cute younger brother, Miyuki, is Youichi's lover.
They take on a case that involves a classmate of Miyuki's, a pretty, quiet boy named Yuu who is believed to be the lover of a married man. The man's wife has hired Mari and Youichi to find out the truth, and the too-serious Mari soon finds himself drawn to the seeming innocent boy.
