Outo Ayakashikitan

Abeno Seimei (left) is a sorceror, or onmyouji, for the Emperor. He is evidently part fox, part human-being, adapted and brought up as an apprentice of the Onmyouji family. Because of his unrivaled power people tended to fear him, so he appears lonely and cold. But he is soon befriended by Masayuki, a son of the most powerful noble in Japan and whose sister is married to the Emperor. Masayuki has a very broad mind and a warm heart, and Seimei finds that he often needs his friendship and help.
Conflict comes in the form of Seimei's former apprentice sempai, Tachibana Kagetsuri, a beautiful onmyouji who has sort of turned to the 'dark side' ever since he witnessed his family being murdered when he was young. Kagetsuri had always admired and envied Seimei and his powers, and had hoped to lure Seimei to join him. But Seimei could not, and so made an enemy of his old friend.
The obvious tension between the characters is one of the the reasons yaoi-lovers like this manga. But while there is little actual yaoi in the story, the characters themselves are all gorgeous (especially Seimei!) and there are tons of hints to last you in this beautifully drawn historical fantasy. Even if you can't read Japanese, though, I would get it just for the artwork alone!
